A little over a year ago, Institutionscykel.dk began a project in Elsinore at a time where government cuts had hit those providing child care.
The project idea was simple, to provide child care institutions with cargo bikes for the children’s transport. The model proposed saw local or relevant businesses fund the bikes in exchange for advertising on the box for the lifetime of the bike, the nursery got a sustainable and environmentally friendly means of transport. It’s a model that, unsurprisingly gained popularity. A translation of the original article can be found here.
